The central location of our hotel
Only a few minutes' walk separate the Hotel Glasererhaus and the cityXpress ski lift that takes you up to our local mountain, the Schmittenhöhe. Enjoy a panoramic ascent and look forward to a wonderful day of skiing.
Skiing on the local mountain Schmittenhöhe
There is something for everyone in the 77 kilometres of pistes in the panoramic Schmittenhöhe ski area. Beginners can practise on the family slopes and advanced skiers as well as ski experts will enjoy the runs on the standard slope and the Trass.
The Trass requires good skiing technique, is steep and demanding - so not for beginners.
In addition to numerous huts, bars and sunny hours on terraces, the Schmittenhöhe also offers three entry points in Zell am See as well as one in Glemmtal.
The ZellamseeXpress takes you directly to the Schmittenhöhe slopes via the slopes of the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.
Kitzsteinhorn Glacier Ski Area
The glacier ski area impresses skiers and freestylers from all over the world with modern lifts, wide slopes, steep freeride lines and numerous snow parks.
The 3K K-ONNECTION will take you directly from Kaprun to the glacier from November 2019.
Salzburg's first triple lift takes visitors directly from the Maiskogel to the Langwieder area of the Kitzsteinhorn in both winter and summer.
The Black Mamba, along with the Trass at the Schmittenhöhe, is only for advanced skiers. The black marked ski slope is really steep with a 63% gradient, 1000 m long and 290 metres in altitude.
